Honeymoon Ruined: Food Poisoning - Grace's Cottage Restaurant, Grace Bay Caicos Islands

4 years ago reported by user-pynw4162 business

Grace's Cottage Restaurant, Grace Bay, Turks and Caicos Islands

Grace Bay, TKCA 1ZZ Caicos Islands, Turks and Caicos Islands

To celebrate our honeymoon, my Wife and I visited this location from Dec 12-17. On the night of the 13th, we had our anniversary dinner at this place. We had been there once before and remember having a great time with my family which is why we returned.

Unfortunately, this time was much different. My wife and I experience food poisoning from either the Tomahawk Ribeye or the Shellfish Platter that we were served to us during our dinner. As a result, this not only affected us physically (we could have been killed) but impacted our whole trip as well. On the day of the 14th, we had planned a boating trip with Caicos Dream Tours which could not be refunded given their 24-hour cancellation policy (roughly $500). In addition, we lost out on 3 days of our trip, and we were bound to our hotel room for most of our Honeymoon (Dec 14-16). When we planned our Honeymoon, my wife and I were anticipating a vacation filled with celebration and excursions. Unfortunately, what we got was sickness and disappointment because of our food poisoning. This restaurant should be shut down until they figure out the root cause of their issues - they can't/shouldn't be allowed to keep putting visitors in danger. | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Vomiting
