Blue crabs I bought live blue crabs. Brought them home, put them into the sink and rinsed them off before steaming them for 30 minutes. Took one out to taste test, it was fine. Started to eat another when I noticed it had a slight ammonia smell. Took 2 more out, both smelled strongly of ammonia. Asked my mom for her opinion, she suggested maybe a longer cooking time. Turned heat back on and streamed the crabs in the pot for sn additional 15 minutes. Took them out hoping it'll be good. Nope. Every one of them stunk of ammonia. Threw everything away. 20 minutes later, terrible stomach pains. Diarreha, pain in right lower abdomen. That was at 6pm. The discomfort in the right lower abdomen is still here. It's now close to midnight. The pain is about a 3 and is intermittent. | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Stomach Pain
