Poreč, Istria County, Croatia
Staying in Porec' Croatia, we took an all day boat trip on the Manon to Rovinj, then onto Vrsar. From Rovinj to Vrsar, we had lunch on board consisting of grilled chicken, cevapcici and salad. Great day. After getting off the boat we walked back to our hotel room (20 min). Within an hour of getting to our room my wife took ill, vomiting, diarrhea and shivering with a temperature. My wife ate a small amount of the food. A few hours later a was violently ill with the same symptoms but much worse. We stayed in the room the rest of that night (21st July 2022). The next day we stayed in the room all day as we did not feel well enough to travel, and our flight was the next morning with a pick up @ 7:30am. On Friday evening I popped down to the hotel reception to buy more water, whereupon I collapsed. The hotel staff were great, aided me, and helped me back to our room, where we stayed till morning. Luckily we managed to get on the flight home. Today is Sunday 24th and we are both still under the weather. We had eaten at the same restaurant the previous days so no problem there. | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Nausea, Vomiting, Shaking
