Boulevard Turístico del Este, Punta Cana, 23000 La Altagracia, Dominican Republic
Attended son's wedding in DR on April 24 - April 29, 2019. After 3 days, 9 people of the wedding party and wedding attendees were stricken with a severe case of vomiting, diarrhea and nausea. Two of the guests were so ill that that actually passed out. Everyone had eaten at different restaurants during our stay so we were unable to identify the source of our sickness. The hotel offered no assistance when we informed them of our illness. They offered to have house doctor to visit at a cost of $250. This was the worse stomach sickness I have ever experienced - sweating, chills, vomiting, diarrhea and numbness in hands. We had to seek medical attention when we returned home. Contacted the Corporate office immediately and they informed us that it was common knowledge that you are not the drink the water or use the water to brush teeth. We were instructed to contact the hotel. Too date there has been no follow up from Hard Rock. This incident occurred before the media coverage of the recent deaths. I am still having stomach issues and have been to my personal physician 3 times since returning home. | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Fever, Nausea, Vomiting, Numbness, Chills, Sweating
