Birds, Flies, Diarrhea Outbreak - Hotel Riu, Sal

Stayed for 1 week from Sat 24th Sept 2022 to Sat 1st October 2022. By Thursday evening both my partner and myself suffered diarrhoea. I tried to be very careful for the remaining 2 days of the holiday, however the diarrhoea became very serious in the airport before the flight home. Thankfully a lovely fellow passenger gave me some diarrhoea tablets which literally held me together for the flight home. I then suffered 2 weeks of severe diarrhoea at home with up to 8 bouts per day. There were flies and little birds in all the restaurants. Flies sitting all over the food and tables. I spotted bird poop on one table. I question the locally produced mineral water as well. I had a glass of water at lunchtime before leaving for the airport and my husband did not. He was ok once we got home. | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Vomiting
