“Great value orange juice Purchased the orange juice on July 12th 2020 the expiration date isn’t until July 25th 2020. Immediately brought the orange juice home & stored in my fridge then drank a glass the next morning, I am pregnant & noticed a chemical smell to it but thought... I was smelling something else or perhaps the glass I used. I finished the glass & vomited plus diarrhea for 2 days. The orange juice has been sitting in my fridge since the 13th, I opened it today to see if maybe something else had caused the illness, I went to open it & the gallon bottle is filled with pressure it smells highly toxic. This product could have severely harmed me & my unborn child. I will have to take action if something isn’t done about this. ”

“Fifth Third Bank sponsored a “get together” event for their loyal customers before the University of Cincinnati vs. Temple University basketball game on March 7, 2020 at the Fifth Third Arena on the campus of the University of Cincinnati. Fifth Third Bank had this event catered from an outside vendor,... which included the following food items: chicken fingers, BBQ meatballs in sauce, and soft pretzels with cheese sauce, nachos, popcorn, cookies, and dipping sauces. After eating at this “get together” event, I became sick during the basketball game and I was running back and forth from my seat to the bathroom while throwing up in the bathroom each time. Finally, I decided to leave the Fifth Third Arena because I was so sick and I could no longer watch the game. Also, on the drive home, I had to stop to the side of the road and throw up on the pavement.
I spent $200 per ticket for the Basketball game, which was ruined because of the food poisoning I incurred after eating the food at the catered event sponsored by Fifth Third Bank.
After contacting Fifth Third Bank, my wife was told that someone would be looking into this matter immediately. However, the COVID-19 pandemic impacted the Cincinnati area and all employees of Fifth Third Bank went on lockdown.
I then contacted the Cincinnati Public Health Department about this incident and they then confirmed following an inspection at the site that there were dirty dishes found with the Caterer of the event for Fifth Third Bank.
Since Fifth Third Bank sponsored this “get together” event and hired the Caterer, they should be held accountable for my husband’s food poisoning. Not only was my husband spared after recovering a in a few days, he could have died if he had eaten more than his original plate of food.
Hence, I would like Fifth Third Bank to honor their original promise and afford us $400 for the basketball tickets we purchased for the game which we couldn’t see because of my husband’s food poisoning.
If this matter is not resolved by Fifth Third Bank, I will lodge a complaint with the Ohio Attorney General as well as the Cincinnati Public Health Department so that Fifth Third will be prohibited for hosting any future events involving the provision of food to the general public. As well, I will seek punishment of the Fifth Third staff members who sponsored and setup the event with their assigned Caterer.
After spending the last 4 months trying to resolve this issue with Fifth Third, I am deeply disappointed in the apathy displayed by Fifth Third staff members, including the bank managers at 2 location in the Mason, Ohio area.
Please therefore have someone contact me at the earliest opportunity so this matter can be resolved once and for at all.
“Ate pizza last night and sick all day with diarrhea nausea and abdominal cramps. Kids have diarrhea as well. ”
“I ordered a Baja Chicken Bowl. The very next day I had cramps, I was clammy, Fatigued and had water diarrhea. The nausea, water diarrhea and fatigue lasted a full week. I was forced to call off work and loose a weeks worth of pay. I will never eat there... again and hope no one else ever has to go through this misery. ”
“They used to be my favorite place to eat, I love the grilled chicken there and I always usually get the grilled chicken quesadilla but this time I ate a grilled chicken salad 3 days ago. When I was eating the salad I noticed the chicken was really rubbery, warm... on the outside but cold when I bit into it. I was starving so I ate it anyways thinking nothing of it... The next day rolls around and that’s when I began having constant diarrhea. I’m having signs of salmonella because of the color of my stool and the symptoms I’m having. Which if continues any longer I will be going to a doctor. I’m still having on going diarrhea and stomach pains on the left side of my stomach. ”
“I went there with my dad on Sunday, July 19, 2020. We all got Trenta Refreshers- my parents had dragon fruit and I had the strawberry açaí. Later that night, after drinking the refreshers, my parents felt sick. They had abdominal and bowel cramps, however they recovered after a few... hours. However, the next morning, I ended up waking up to explosive diarrhea after an hour of suffering and sweating and laying on the floor trying to think of anything but how badly my bowels were cramping and the doom that was about to come. Now, I have IBS, so this situation isn’t foreign to me, however this was different. After having an initial horrific bowel movement I can only describe as hot lava flowing out of me while I am grabbing onto the counter for dear life, it wouldn’t stop. I continued to have diarrhea for the next 6 hours every 10-20 minutes. It wouldn’t stop. I was cramping like crazy and actually crying because I thought I was going to die. It did stop at one point, and I was able to eat some plain rice to help firm up my stool. I didn’t sleep much that night, but I woke up to more diarrhea, but this time with blood in it. I finally called my doctor and was prescribed an antibiotic and told that I most likely had infectious diarrhea and was infected by the fruit in the drink (maybe not kept well?). It would explain why my parents didn’t have it as badly as I did, because we had two different drinks. Basically, I continued to have bloody diarrhea until the afternoon, but then continued on to be extremely nauseous to the point that I had to have a garbage bag nearby just in case I puked. It’s the 4th day now, and I am slowly getting better (well, no diarrhea at least) though I am still weak, crampy, nauseous, and dehydrated. I wanted to report it the second I was able to even pick up my phone without almost puking or having to run to the bathroom. I know some might say I just got sick, but it happened to my parents as well AND soon after drinking said drinks. I have all the symptoms of infectious diarrhea from bacteria (possibly E. Coli) and I am hoping that, by reporting this, it will save others from the same fate that I had. It was a genuinely awful, terrible, horrible, and downright painful experience that no one should have to go through. ”
