Unbottled Water Illness Suspected - Inkaterra Machu Picchu Pueblo Hotel, Aguas Calientes Cusco

4 years ago reported by user-wwjkp855 business

Inkaterra Machu Picchu Pueblo Hotel, Aguas Calientes, Peru

Aguas Calientes, 08681 Cusco, Peru

My husband and I started feeling very ill before leaving the hotel on the 2nd day there.
Inkaterra Machu Piccu Pueblo Hotel in Peru.
We drank unbottled water at the restaurant.
If it wasn't the water then something ingested made us sick in Aguas Calientes, Peru.
We are from the US and our systems are not immune to micro-organisms for which Peruvians are.

Prior to that we stayed at the Salkantay Lodge in Soraypampa.
It is in a very remote area. We could have gotten it there.
Hard to determine, but based on the time it took for us to get symptoms (10 days), It would have been the Inkaterra Machu Piccu hotel.
It took at least a week for it to go away. It ruined our trip | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea
