Chicken Causes Severe Illness - Kimberley, Kimberley Northern Cape

I ate a piece of chicken and started vomiting an hour later. I vomited all through the night and still diarrhea the whole next day. Headache, chills, cramps, muscle pain, nausea.
We do not live in Kimberley, but in the rural area and visiting a hospital was not an option.
What's bothering me, is that I only ate one piece and became violently ill | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Nausea, Fever, Vomiting, Cramps, Headache, Chills, Muscle Pain
