I just learned of this website, hence the delay in reporting this. We were on vacation in Los Cabos, Mexico the week after Thanksgiving Last year, 2018. The 5th night of our trip we ate. It was a 30 minute taxi ride back to our resort and by the time I got back to the room I started with symptoms that turned into severe stomach cramping, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and fever and chills. Episodes of this was every 15 minutes for 12 hours.I was so dehydrated that I couldn't even stand up to leave our room. We finally got the front desk to get a taxi to take me to hospital. I was there 2 full days and they wanted me to stay another day, but that was the day of our flight home. They cleared me to fly home but I needed to go to the ER when I got home. which I did. I spent another 2 days in my local hospital. I was on 5 different medications. I was treated very well in the Mexico Hospital, but unfortunately they over hydrated me. I couldn't wear shoes to fly home in, I had 14 extra lbs. of water weight from all the extra IV they gave me. I'm not sure what I ate that night but I can definitely find the restaurant receipt to verify what I had. | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Fever, Nausea, Vomiting, Dehydration, Chills, Cramps
