Big Mac Induces Esophageal Rupture - McDonald's,

12 years ago reported by user-rwzmr978

McDonald's
My son (22 yo) ate 2 Big Macs on 12/10/13 at the Volvo parkway McDonalds in Chesapeake VA. Within 3 hours he was violently ill. Vomiting and diarrhea. I called the ambulance around 4 hours later. He has suffered an esophageal rupture from the force of his vomiting. He was hospitalized for 5 days and was just released on 12/15/13 evening. He is still VERY ill - we have home healthcare coming in daily to infuse him with 2 separate antibiotics. Has this infection been reported by anyone else? He was moments away from emergency surgery to repair the tear. I am wondering when he will be back to "normal." He has not been out of bed since his hospitalization on 12/10/13. | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Nausea, Vomiting
