Food Safety Report: Miracle Whip surge of reports in 2024.

This year, 2024, we have seen a surge of illness reports characterized by common symptoms such as diarrhea, stomach pain, and nausea linked to Miracle Whip. Additionally, we have received reports citing strange smell, taste, and unusual color in the Miracle Whip. As of March 25th, 2024, we have received 37 reports linked to any of these issues after consuming/purchasing the product.Some report excerpts here:
"...there’s a yellow chunky sludge on the inside of the seal and a brownish crust around the edge, and it smells funky"
"I just bought some miracle whip today. Expiration date is June of this year. I had one already here that I had an open and it’s got the same expiration date. They both smell like paint I got a little sick cause I ate off of one and I had a nasty taste like a, some paint thinner or something"
"Kraft miracle whip. Hard yellow crusty gunk under the seal. Smelled old. I have 3 jars all with the same expiration date May."
"Miracle whip (2different jars), doesn’t taste right"

Yesterday I was buying a jar of miracle whip light, and I noticed at checkout it had a brownish gray color. I could not find an expiration date on it. I did not buy it.
