Norovirus Gastrointestinal Illness Outbreak at Zion National Park Lodge

Zion National Park is currently managing an outbreak of gastrointestinal illness at Zion Lodge, beginning July 23, 2024. The park, Zion Lodge, and public health experts are treating the situation as if it is norovirus, although no official confirmation has been made. The park has taken swift action to mitigate the spread of the illness, including the closure of food services and the implementation of stringent cleaning protocols.

The outbreak has led to the temporary closure of the Zion Lodge kitchen, restaurant, and café.
