Roommates' Severe Food Poisoning - Paya Lebar Road, Singapore

4 years ago reported by user-jrvg6196 business

Paya Lebar Road, Cantine - Paya Lebar Square, Singapore

60 Paya Lebar Road, Singapore, 409051 Singapore

My roommate and I got terrible food poisoning from the food that we ate for dinner.

We bought on 9 June 2021 at about 7.30pm. It was not our first time buying from the stall. We went home straight via grab and consume the food almost immediately upon reaching home. From purchase to consuming, it's about 45-60mins. The food was still hot.

My roommate had his first bout of diarrhoea at about 3am on 10 June, and by the time I had my first diarrhoea, he had went to the loo about 10 times.

Both of us were down with high fever, lethargy, loss of appetite on top of diarrhoea and crampings.

We both went to seek treatment at polyclinic. Doctor said if covid tests are negative, then it is confirmed food poisoning.

Both of us were prescribed medications for the diarrhoea and crampings.

My roommate had his diarrhea lasted about 4 days. Unfortunately for me, I am still suffering from the food poisoning. (This report was written on 16 June 2021).

I went to see the doctor again on 15 June, which she said that if my fever and diarrhoea did not subsides by 17 June, to walk in and she will instruct for an array of tests. She would like to eliminate the chances of me contacting Dengue.

It seemed that if the diarrhoea is not stopping. My visit to the loo is like opening a water fountain.

I will have to visit the doctor again tomorrow.

I truly hoped that if there are others that had food poisoning from consuming from the same stall on the same day and within the same time, to report this matter to SFA (Singapore Food Agency). | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Vomiting, Other, Fever, Loss of Appetite, Cramps
