“chicken sandwich Just me and it was the next day I started having these issues”
“Not sure. I ate earlier and now I've been puking for hours. At one point dry heaving until my throat got bloody ”
“I order potpies chicken last nite in been throwing up every since I started to feel nauseated in just me 15 mins after. I ate half of my food ”
“Boyfriend had spicy chicken tenders at around 8:30-9pm. Started feeling funny shortly after: Nausea. Felt sick to his stomach while he was still eating and couldn't finish. Woke up early this morning with explosive diarrhea, severe stomach pain, dry heaving, and vomiting. ”
“Chicken sandwich From the time it took me to get back home with in hours sick 😫 as dog until after two days of feeling this badly I when to emergency room it took me about five days before I could stomach anything at all ”
“We ordered the spicy chicken tenders and within 5 hours , both of us experienced severe stomach cramps and explosive diarrhea! ”
“food We ordered 30 chicken wings through Ubereats. We tried a few chickens, me and my partner both think the chickens have a really bad quality. It is really unhealthy and it smells not fresh. It looks like the chicken has been fried for several times. I felt nausea and... vomiting after take a few pieces. I also had diarrhea after the food. ”
“My husband and I shared a green smoothie on a Saturday afternoon. On Sunday, I had a rumbly stomach and then diarrhea for hours. The next morning, my husband woke up with the same thing, plus crawly skin, achiness and the chills. (This is how food poisoning always affects him.)... Neither of us have vomited, but it's Tuesday, and we both still have stomach pain and fatigue. No one else around is or had been ill, and the smoothie is the only thing we had all weekend that was different than everyone else in the family. I'm always cautious about consuming smoothies out, just because there is a risk the produce and the equipment maybe aren't as carefully washed as they are when I make them at home. Our delayed response makes sense to us, since it takes a while for some pathogens to multiply and make themselves known in the body. This was our first time eating (drinking) here and it'll likely be our last, unfortunately. ”
“There is some confusion surrounding the current Coronavirus (called 2019-NocV) outbreak that began in December 2019 and whether you can get it through food. Here is some information:
What is Coronavirus?
Coronaviruses are a large family of viruses found in both animals and humans. Past outbreaks include Middle East Respiratory... Syndrome (MERS) and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS). The current novel Coronavirus (a new strain that has not been previously identified in humans) is thought to originate in live food markets in Wuhan, China through animals and human contact.
How is it transmitted?
Coronaviruses such as the current 2019-NocV are transmitted through the respiratory system, not the gut, so there is a low risk of infection through the consumption of contaminated food. Restaurants can be a site of transmission of coronavirus because of the large numbers of people congregating in close quarters and then coughing/sneezing could spread the disease just like in other places (transportation, schools, etc). But the food itself isn’t a likely vehicle.
Signs of infection?
Common signs of infection include respiratory symptoms, fever, cough, shortness of breath and breathing difficulties. In more severe cases and those with weakened immune systems, an infection can cause pneumonia, severe acute respiratory syndrome, kidney failure, and even death.
Recommendations from the World Health Organization (WHO):
Standard recommendations to prevent infection spread include regular hand washing, covering mouth+nose when coughing/sneezing, and avoiding close contact with anyone showing symptoms of respiratory illness such as coughing and sneezing.

“My family of 5 all went there then the next day felt sick and nauseous from the food. We had cheese pizza and the salad bar. From salad bar we had salad, cottage cheese, hard boiled eggs, dried cranberries, broccoli, cucumbers, cherry tomatoes. My kids stared off with a high... fever then throwing up, decreased appetite, headache, sneezing and a severe cough. Then me and my husband caught it after them almost immediately. We've been sick for over a week since going there. ”
“I was drinking a Dr. Topper soda from a can. Took several sips and it tasted off. Kind of like that of an antibiotic such as penicillin. I kept drinking it because I was thirsty. Then suddenly I noticed my breathe smelled of ammonia. So I sniffed the drink and... it smelled like urine after taking Amoxicillin. So I had others taste test it and they spat it out. Then I poured it into a glass. To my dismay some hard object about a 1/2 in long which resembles a rat feces fell out and some white fluffy stuff. I was very disgusted and I am scared. Now I am having stitch like pains in my side and my throat feels like something is stuck in it. I called my nurse and poison control. I will go to urgent care in the mornkng. If I don't feel better. Poison control said to dilute the drink by drinking copious amounts of water and not to induce vomiting. She said it may make things worse. I feel very queasy and sick like I probably will vomit on my own. Belching and dry heaving at the moment. Feel anxiety and scared to ever drink a soda again.
Actually me and a family member were hospitalized over the weekend. Turns out the material caused an infection. ”
“Four of us shared about 6 different types of rolls varying in types, both raw and cooked. Plus a grilled calamari plate. Our guests were up all last night due to being ill with vomiting, watery diarrhea, severe aches, nausea, sweating, chills, etc and led us to become rather dehydrated.... So miserable and disappointed! ”
“Chicken sandwich from there I ate the food at approximately 11pm on Thursday night. Yesterday I woke up around 4am deathly I'll with symptoms of food poisoning. In addition to the vomiting and diahhrea I has and still have terrible stomach ctamping ”
