Montréal’s regional public health department is notifying the public that people who ate sushi prepared at the Provigo located at 6600 Saint-Jacques Street West between November 17 to 20 and November 24 and 25, 2021 may have been exposed to hepatitis A.
The Department of Health informed that those who ate sushi at this place and who are adequately vaccinated against hepatitis A or have had the disease in the past are not at risk. In case you have not been vaccinated against hepatitis A, have never had the disease and you ate the sushi, they will be given the vaccine free of charge.
If you are experiencing Hepatitis A symptoms like fever, jaundice, nausea, clay-colored stool, dark urine, malaise, abdominal discomfort, or vomiting, it is important to report it. It can help to detect and resolve outbreaks early and prevent others from being harmed, and it enables better surveillance.
