After ordering and unfortunately eating these some sushi rolls, I woke up this morning with food poisoning in the form of vomiting, diarrhea, and abdominal pain. It was severe enough to call off work. It's ridiculous that I paid... almost $40 to get food poisoning. I also complained to my local health department. ”

“Yesterday 17 Feb (Tuesday) around 7.30pm, we got 4ppl went to your restaurant to eat dinner, we ordered plenty of sushi and other dishes. Your sushi is terrible, tasteless, especially salmon sushi and egg mayo, not fresh, I suspected this is the cause that one of my friend got food... poisoning after eat your sushi, vomit and diarrhea since yesterday night, another friend not feeling right after eating your food. I stomachache since yesterday until this morning only recover after I went the toilet. We pay to eat and enjoy your fresh and quality dishes, not food that losing freshness and tasteless. Is it right for a restaurant to serve such awful dishes for a customer especially raw food that can bring a lot of issue after eating if the food losing freshness? Can you bear the responsibility if the customer don't feeling well and get life threatening cause by food poisoning after eating your food? How do your restaurant responsible for our illness after eating your food? ”
“Within 6 hours of my meal (had 2 sushi rolls and their onion soup) all severe symptoms of the food poisoning started violently. You name the symptom, I had it,I had the most severe stomach cramps and somehow, I was able to avoid vomiting. A few hours later, diarrhea and... cramps still continue. I almost didn't eat anything else this day so it's definitely sushi. I'm an avid sushi lover and this never happened at other places. A few years ago, I had their salmon entre and had severe stomach cramps coming on and fainted within a few minutes after eating it. Definitely not chancing it anymore. ”

“There is some confusion surrounding the current Coronavirus (called 2019-NocV) outbreak that began in December 2019 and whether you can get it through food. Here is some information:
What is Coronavirus?
Coronaviruses are a large family of viruses found in both animals and humans. Past outbreaks include Middle East Respiratory... Syndrome (MERS) and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS). The current novel Coronavirus (a new strain that has not been previously identified in humans) is thought to originate in live food markets in Wuhan, China through animals and human contact.
How is it transmitted?
Coronaviruses such as the current 2019-NocV are transmitted through the respiratory system, not the gut, so there is a low risk of infection through the consumption of contaminated food. Restaurants can be a site of transmission of coronavirus because of the large numbers of people congregating in close quarters and then coughing/sneezing could spread the disease just like in other places (transportation, schools, etc). But the food itself isn’t a likely vehicle.
Signs of infection?
Common signs of infection include respiratory symptoms, fever, cough, shortness of breath and breathing difficulties. In more severe cases and those with weakened immune systems, an infection can cause pneumonia, severe acute respiratory syndrome, kidney failure, and even death.
Recommendations from the World Health Organization (WHO):
Standard recommendations to prevent infection spread include regular hand washing, covering mouth+nose when coughing/sneezing, and avoiding close contact with anyone showing symptoms of respiratory illness such as coughing and sneezing.
