Sudden onset of 73yo female appearing to be experiencing almost heart attack symptoms not long after consuming 2 Krispy Kreme "HALLOWEEN MYSTERY" Assorted Donuts.... She is a tough lady, but it was easy to notice her sudden distress. She didn't really have specific symptoms, like GI upset. She was just clearly shook. She claimed to feel overwhelmingly stressed all of sudden sudden. Similar to a panic attack, but she doesn't have a history of anxiety attacks... Her symptoms presented almost immediately after consuming the 1-2 donuts. That was approximately 5pm. She was still not feeling much better when she went to bed. I just never saw her like that. Obviously, we will pursue other possibilities as far as the factual cause (as in something unrelated.)... She was alert/responsive, and had some GI discomfort, but that wasn't her primary issue... There are many reasons why consuming such things could produce a feeling of unpleasantness... ☆I was primarily checking to see if any other people had complained about this product recently. Going down the list of possible causes for her symptoms. She insisted she would endure the symptoms, rather than do the 20+hr avg wait in our local ERs just to be seen... If anyone can confirm/deny that this product has a sketchy reputation, I would be grateful... Peace n love. | Symptoms: Other
What you are describing sounds like a food allergy. My daughter has many many allergies and has to carry an Epipen. Google anaphylaxis. Many doctors especially ER doctors think anaphylaxis only happens when your tongue swells and your throat closes. This is not true. Feelings of anxiety, GI symptoms, angioedema, hives, swelling of the tongue, all of the symptoms can happen alone or together rapidly or slowly. I have seen it personally with my daughter. She is now 23, but started around 6th grade. Wasn’t diagnosed until we found an allergist who was trained well enough to figure out what was happening to her. You can develop allergies to things from frequent exposure. So the fact that this is an elderly lady is not surprising she developed the allergy after frequent exposure to it.
