“Not sure.....both my sister, daughter and I all ate there two nights ago and today my sister and daughter are both sick. One vomiting and diarrhea, the other diarrhea and chills. They ate the same items and I had something completely different and have been fine to date. Explained these... details above. Ordered take out from the above location on Friday night, Valentine's Day. Both my sister and daughter ordered burritos with beans, rice, and guacamole. And they both started feeling sick this morning ”
“My daughter at a chicken and rice bowl, as offered as her hot lunch at school. Within an hour or so, she was experiencing extreme stomach pain and nausea followed by vomiting and explosive diarrhea. She also appeared very pale. If she attempted to drink anything (Gatorade) she would be... vomiting as soon as it hit her stomach. She was fine when she went to school that morning and the only thing she ate was that chicken and rice bowl. All of her symptoms are in line with food poisoning vs a stomach bug. I have also made her school aware of the situation as they contract with the restaurant to provide lunch to the students one day a week. ”
“My boyfriend and I both ate on Christmas Eve and woke up Christmas Day with awful food poisoning. It was just us and the family ate everything else that we consumed on Christmas Eve. Merry Christmas ”
“I ate the food and started getting pains in my tummy but before I even lef I saw a rat inside the building on the table going through the food boxes this has been worst experience ”
“Not certain, but all 3 of us had this. A few hours later spouse starts feeling nauseous, followed by my 7 year old then myself. 2 hours later my son starts vomiting a lot. We still only feel queasy. Our son has woken up every hour give or take and... vomited. Gave him Nauzene and sips of water. No fever, no diarrhea he just can’t really keep anything down. 2 adults 1 child. Just a few hours after eating. We all had burgers, child was the only one to eat bacon. ”
“February 1, 2020, at 1:47 PM. I purchased 3 Haagen Daz ice creams, 14 oz size, assorted flavors, at this store. The first one was consumed immediately, the same day. It appeared to be OK. The second one was consumed later that evening. The second one seemed to be OK,... but as I got closer to the bottom, it was obvious it had not been refrigerated properly. The bottom had melted and then refrozen, before I bought it. Ck'd my freezer, the thermometer showed a temp of minus 5 degrees F.
Developed nausea a few hours later that night, then extreme fatigue for the better part of a week, Notified the store manager, of the refrozen ice cream and asked him to ck with his vendor to try to prevent future occurrences. He sent me an email a few days later indicating he wanted to discuss it with me. Saw him Feb 7th, Thursday, at the store. I told him I wanted to discuss it as well but was in a hurry, would do it later when it was mutually convenient. He, not to be put off, followed me down the back stairs and started an apparently prepared speech. YOU ARE MAKING A LOT OF COMPLAINTS. IT SEEMS WE CAN'T PLEASE YOU. NO ONE HAS EVER COMPLAINED BEFORE. He even quoted the ice cream vendor, who was not present, as saying, he, the vendor had never a complaint about melted ice cream, he repeated his speech several more times with the additional filip that, "YOU WOULD BE HAPPIER GOING SOMEWHERE ELSE.”
As background, the store freezer, full of ice cream, had malfunctioned a short time before that. Many pints of ice cream had melted but were refrozen when the freezer came back on. I mentioned to him, at the time, those ice creams should be disposed of. The vendor or he may have been putting a few pints of refrozen, spoiled, ice cream back in the freezer in an attempt to minimize the dollar loss.
Whatever the cause, spoiled ice cream should not be sold. Telling customers to go somewhere else is not an effective way of dealing with concerns about spoiled products. They and the Health Department need to take the necessary steps to prevent future occurrences.
“Ate a taco and a veggie tostada which were served with lettuce, cream, and cheese around 8pm. Experienced the worst poisoning of my life due to the complete negligence of the staff in serving unrefrigerated and/or old food. Pretty much lived at the toilet the entire night and puked absolutely... everything in the morning. I’m still out of commission and feel I will be for the next few days. Two others who accompanied experienced similar symptoms throughout the night. AVOID this place at all costs, DO NOT risk catching a nightmare at this place because of their lack of sanitation and care. ”
“We ate the same food We ordered food for the night, 2 for one combo for R48 which inclues two steak burgers and along with that we ordered the chicken combo as which was slightly cheaper. Ever since the following day my father has been in the toilet early morning,... then after a while it was me. Then my brother and my mother. Clearly there is something wrong and therefore their food is contaminated ”
“Our child poisoned his stomach with bacteria in Mardan Bistro (one of restaurants in hotel). He get bacteria that was in food due to improper preparation and storage of food. We are sure that he get bacteria in spaghetti bolognese on last day during lunch. On last night he get... temperature and vormit and finish upon arrival at the hospital in Zagreb. In hospital he get diagnosed with gastric poisoning with bacteria. He was five days in hospital with infusion and antibiotic. We have all medical documentation from doctors that confirms the above.
During our holiday he eat only and only in their restaurants.
