It takes 24 to 48 hours for your body to digest.... are you sure it wasn't the bad cereal or milk in your fidge

TIP: Thanks for your comment - but this is false. You CAN get sick from food that fast. If the contamination is chemical or physical, symptoms can start within minutes. If it is biological contamination it can start as fast as 30 minutes (e.g. staph). Other types of contamination can take longer, it all depends on what it was, but it can be fast!
