10 months ago reported by user-nwwvp357

Ritz Crackers, Strausberg, Germany

Strausberg, 15 Brandenburg, Germany

Suspected food poisoning. Symptoms: other
Suspected source: I ate handfuls of Ritz Crackers in the evening the day before yesterday. 7 hours later in the morning around 4:00 AM I barely able to breathe and everything was muddy. I had to lie down all day from shortness of breath and weakness and my nose was running continuously for what felt like liters. The night after that I had a kind of diarrhea with extremely burning smelling stool, the smell made me cough again. The smell stuck to my clothes, to my body in the bedroom. It disappeared after a long shower, but I still have to sneeze.
I read the ingredient ammonium carbonate on the package. Consumption is said to lead to blindness and coronary heart damage and affect the respiratory tract.
Why is it allowed to poison and sell food?
If I were to eat something similar with this ingredient again, I would be dead.
Onset: 4 to 12 hours
Duration: 12 to 24 hours
Sick: I
Additional information: Please let me know what will be done after such reports of poisoned food! | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Weakness, Cough, Shortness of Breath
