I was hospitalized with a kidney infection after traveling to Belize. I thought initially I had the flu (missed a full week of work). I continued having intermittent high fevers until I went to the ER. There was no cause for the kidney infection (no obstruction or a UTI)., I got sick about a week after returning from Belize. My husband didn't get sick (which is why I don't believe it was caused by food). We purchased rum which I am the only one who has drank from it. The symptoms began the following day after consuming 2 drinks. | Symptoms: Fever
