My husband and I just returned from a 10 day trip to Mexico. First 5 days was in PV, second 5 days was in Sayulita. We were careful the entire time. Washed our hands, used hand sanitizer when we couldn’t, used bottled water to brush our teeth didn’t let shower water in our mouths, etc…The second to the last day we went in the ocean at Sayulita Beach for the first time. About 5 hours later we were back at our Air BnB and I felt like I was hit by a truck. Incredible nausea (still can’t believe I never vomited), diarrhea, worst chills I’ve ever had in my life (including the bad case of Covid 19 I had back in the early days), mind wrenching headache, body aches, fever.
Spent our final day wishing I was dead in our AirBnB while my hubby went into town for food and supplies to nurse me along.
Definitely not the way I wanted to end our trip! That flight home was more than humbling. Sat as close to the bathroom as possible.
4 days later and I still don’t feel close to “normal”. Looking at going in to see my Dr and run some tests. I wish I could go back and tell myself NOT TO GO INTO THE WATER!!! | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Something else, Fever, Headache, Chills, Body Ache
