Bitter Squash Causes Illness - SF supermarket, Fresno California

I bought opo squash from the supermarket a few days ago. We cooked it last night with eggs, and it was extremely bitter. We did not finish the whole dish, and I picked out the eggs (which was also very bitter) to eat. About 1 hour later I and my partner experienced extreme abdominal cramp and pain and chill and vomiting. A few hours later we both started diarrhea. Diarrhea got so violent throughout the night. In the morning, I lost 5 lbs and my partner lost 3 lbs, probably due to water lost from diarrhea. As of this writing, the cramp and pain are a little less, and the diarrhea is once every hour or so (not so much as last night where we were glued onto the toilet). | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Vomiting, Cramps, Chills, Stomach Pain
