Sea Bass Illness Complaint - STK, Orlando Florida

2 years ago reported by user-ffqcv118 business

STK, East Buena Vista Drive, Orlando, FL, USA

1580 East Buena Vista Drive, Orlando, 32830 Florida, United States

My family and I came to Orlando on a Disney Christmas trip! We used to live in Orlando and loved them. The other locations in Vegas and Los Angeles are nice as well! Here now the restaurant looks run down, fake flowers, odd decor, old lighting. We had a party of 7 and everyone ordered different meals. I ordered a salad and the sea bass. This sea bass came with bok choy. My uncle who was sitting right of me was the only one who tasted my meal. My the time we got back to the Ritz Carlton I was vomiting and had diarrhea. In the am I found out my uncle was sick as well! We where both sick three full days! Missing basically our whole trip! I called them the next morning after dinner. A very nice gentleman took all my info and said they would contact me and I they didn’t to call after 3pm. No one followed up, so I called at 3pm and asked for a manager. I was transferred to a manager who listened to our experience and then said I’ll need to transfer you. Guess where!! Back to the front desk! To a girl who had no clue! So basically giving me the run around ABOUT REPORTING FOOD POISONING!!! I hung up because I’ll be damned I’m treated this way after they made me this sick! I proceeded to write to the restaurant and corporate direct with my receipt! I think at this point I deserve a refund! Shocking! Nothing!! Completely unprofessional and utter disregard for food quality! I’m sure that night I wasn’t the only one with food poisoning from that same dish! | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Vomiting, Gas

I would have reported it to the local Health Department. Maybe you had a doggie bag with some leftovers or some traces to test for ciguatera and scombroid poisoning.
