I purchased a wok, at T.J.Maxx in Prescott Valley ,Arizona.Washed it by boiling hot water in it because it said " hand wash only". It also said " carbon steel" I used it, felt a strange taste. I am a Pastry and Event Chef by the way. So I put olive oil to season it with a cloth and store it away, and black patina coating came off all over the towel I was putting olive oil on. Like it's spray painted.After that my liver felt really off. Of course I have not used it again, it's sitting here after just one use, with the blackened towel ready to drop more black coating
