Chemical Taste in Candy - Target, Vallejo California

1 year ago reported by user-hcmpz881 business

Target, Admiral Callaghan Lane, Vallejo, CA, USA

904 Admiral Callaghan Lane, Vallejo, 94591 California, United States

I ate a bunch of white Reese’s Christmas trees. I noticed that the last one I put in my mouth, had a strong chemical taste. I spat it in the trash and rinsed my mouth out. I thought it was just bad packaging on that one. It wasn’t until I tried to eat another one that I realized there was a problem. I bit into it, as opposed to my usual method of popping the whole one in my mouth. The chocolate was fine, but the chemical taste was in the chocolate. I spit that part out again, then isolated all the ones with that manufacturer code. I then tried one from a different code and it was fine. My guess is a bad batch from one machine. Lucky I never swallowed any bad ones so I have yet to suffer from adverse effects. | Symptoms: Other
