In-flight Cuban Sandwich Illness - The Gasparilla Bar, Tampa Florida

1 year ago reported by user-whcc8656 business

The Gasparilla Bar, George J Bean Outbound Parkway, Tampa, FL, USA

4100 George J Bean Outbound Parkway, Tampa, 33607 Florida, United States

Almost bought a cold Cuban sandwich, but the guy offered to make a hot one. I got the hot one and boarded my 3:07pm flight to CLT. All was fine. The next flight from CLT to SAN was delayed and boarded around 8pm. I started feeling a little funny, but ok. About an hour or so into the 5+ hour flight I started to feel sick. I ended up throwing up a couple times and suffered through it. I was throwing up chunks of Cuban sandwich. The flight attendants offered some ginger ale, but it didn’t help. When I finally got home I had a 102 fever and took some pepto to try and manage symptoms. Lots more diarrhea the next day and took the day off work. What a mess. | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Vomiting, Fever, Chills
