Hi, thanks for your comment. According to the CDC, “stomach flu” is the most common way to call Norovirus, along with “stomach bug”. Norovirus is a very contagious virus that causes vomiting and diarrhea and it is the leading cause of foodborne illness. Norovirus illness is not related to the flu, which is caused by the influenza virus.
My family and I also were at the melting pot that night and all had the same symptoms
6 of us came in on Friday April 7th. By Easter Sunday (the 9th) 5 of our 6 party members have all become very ill. As of today (the 12th) there are still 2 of our party members that are sick. One of which was the lone holdout from this weekend that hasn't gotten sick yet. This is the only thing we had all gotten together to do.
I agree with you, I was trying to rack my brain on what could have happened but as a party of 11 all eating at one spot and experiencing all the same symptoms it’s the only thing that we had all gotten together to do.
