Hospital Café Salmonella Outbreak - UPMC Hamot, Erie Pennsylvania

I ate at both the Lobby Cafe and the Dining Room between Monday September 24th - 27th. On Friday September 28th I had diarrhea fever nausea and vomiting. I ate very little at home that entire week because I was at the hospital caring for my mother who was admitted. My husband also did not get food poisoning and anything that I ate at home he also ate at home. I was admitted to the hospital for 3 days due to the extreme nausea and pain. I was released on October 4th. The diagnosis of salmonella poisoning was confirmed with a stool culture. | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Fever, Nausea, Vomiting
