Food Safety Report - wagamama, Sheffield England

2 years ago reported by user-fbfk5471 business

wagamama, Meadowhall Way, Meadowhall, Sheffield, UK

Meadowhall Way, Sheffield, S9 1EP England, United Kingdom

Me and my husband both had a lovely meal but within 30 mins of leaving the restaurant we both had terrible stomach cramps and felt awful. One hour later we were both vomiting and had diarrhoea - we were suffering all night into the early hours this morning. I have emailed the restaurant this morning but not yet had a response. You just don’t expect to get food poisoning from such a reputable company as this! | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Vomiting, Cramps

Update: Wagamamas contacted me last night and took all the details and they are carrying out an investigation. They have said they will get back to me in 48 hours. I will update once I have heard back from them.

Hi just an update on this - Wagamamas have only just got back to me regarding the investigation so the initial ‘48 hours’ was a load of rubbish. They have said after watching CCTV of the chefs and checking the ingredients that they don’t believe there was any issues with the food they served or with the way it was cooked. They have said they did some hygiene refresher training with staff. It’s just not good enough really - especially having to wait over a month for an update.
