Took their brand (Spring Valley) Korean Panax Ginseng and had a terrible reaction. Severe mental health concern. There should be no noticeable psychoactive effects but was burdened with symptoms ranging from agitation to symptoms similar to severe depression. Never felt like this before and positive it was the ginseng supplement which is not supposed to have effects like this. My guess is it was contaminated. | Symptoms: Other

Sorry that happened to you. Google does say agitation is one possible side effect. Side effects that never happened before can happen at other times in life when hormones have changed too. I don't take much ginseng because it can cause anxiety. I have heard it's not recommended for women, although not sure.
