Lucky Charms Illness Concern - Weis Markets, Pennsburg Pennsylvania

3 years ago reported by user-bvfyb849 business

Weis Markets, Pottstown Avenue, Pennsburg, PA, USA

498 Pottstown Avenue, Pennsburg, 18073 Pennsylvania, United States

On the week of March 27th, I got a box of Lucky Charms, and I started eating from it almost daily. At that same time, I started having bad cramping and diarrhea and occasional mild nausea. I didn’t hear about it making people sick until after finishing the box, but by the time I did finish it I couldn’t eat or drink anything without awful, constant cramping or diarrhea.
I originally thought it was related to the fact that I’m chronically ill and was maybe developing a new symptom, which is why I kept eating it— if I was gonna be in pain no matter what, I might as well eat what I want right? I read an article about Lucky Charms potentially making people sick though and everything made so much sense. A family friend had a similar experience and was talking about how they were sick after eating some as well.
After one day of not eating any Lucky Charms, I was already starting to feel better and the cramping was no longer constant. Three days after not having any, everything was just about back to normal and I could eat and drink normally again without issue. | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Cramps
