The Southside Health District is investigating a gastrointestinal illness outbreak linked to the Blue Ridge Rock Festival in Halifax, VA. They received complaints of illness in groups of patrons who attended this festival between September 5-10, 2023.VDH has published an online survey, urging all festival attendees to complete it, irrespective of whether they experienced any illness to help the investigations.
In case you experience vomiting, diarrhea, and nausea, report it now. It can help to detect & resolve outbreaks early and prevent others from being harmed, and it enables better surveillance. If symptoms persist, seek medical care.
