Public Health officials have completed an investigation into a Campylobacter outbreak associated with How to Cook a Wolf, a restaurant located at 2208 Queen Anne Ave N, Seattle, WA. The outbreak resulted in three reported illnesses. The illnesses were linked to meals consumed on January 31, 2026, with symptoms appearing between February 1 and February 4, 2026.The investigation revealed that the likely source of the outbreak was chicken liver mousse served at the restaurant. Campylobacter is a common cause of diarrheal illness, often linked to consuming undercooked poultry. Symptoms reported by the affected individuals included diarrhea, fever, chills, body aches, and fatigue.
The problem was discovered after one person tested positive for Campylobacter. Public Health officials visited the restaurant on February 24, 2026, to discuss food preparation practices, particularly for chicken liver mousse.
