The CDC is investigating a Norovirus outbreak linked to the Celebrity Constellation cruise ship from Cruise Line: Celebrity Cruises with Voyage Dates: January 3–January 12, 2024, and Voyage number: 59781. 92 passengers have reported being ill during the voyage out of a total of 2,056 (4.47%) passengers onboard. Of the 948 crew members, 8 have reported being ill during the voyage, that is 0.84% of all crew. The predominant symptoms are vomiting and diarrhea. The causative agent is norovirus. The impacted voyage was a 9-night roundtrip cruise from Tampa, Florida that departed on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, and returned to Port Tampa Bay on Friday, January 12 after visiting New Orleans, Cozumel, Belize, and Costa Maya.

In response to the outbreak, Celebrity Cruises and the crew aboard the ship reported the following actions:
- Increased cleaning and disinfection procedures according to the ship’s outbreak prevention and response plan.
- Collected stool specimens from gastrointestinal illness cases for testing.
- Isolated ill passengers and crew.
