Cyclospora outbreak - Investigation ongoing

3 years ago source fda.gov

Outbreak

United States

The FDA is currently investigating an outbreak of Cyclospora infections. As of July 18, 2021, a total of 32 people infected with Cyclospora have been reported. No specific product has been linked to this investigation as of today. The investigation is ongoing.

In case you are experiencing Cyclospora symptoms such as watery diarrhea (most common), cramping, bloating, increased gas, nausea, fatigue, and possibly vomiting and low-grade fever, it is important to report it. It can help to detect & resolve outbreaks early and prevent others from being harmed, and it enables better surveillance.
