Three Brothers Burgers, a popular restaurant located on Welsh Back, has temporarily closed following a norovirus outbreak. The outbreak has resulted in several customers falling ill after dining at the establishment on December 20 and 21. The incident has been confirmed by local health authorities in Bristol. The outbreak was initially suspected after a series of Google reviews indicated that diners experienced symptoms consistent with norovirus, commonly known as the winter vomiting bug. The restaurant promptly closed on December 22 to address the situation. An investigation was conducted by an Environmental Health Officer (EHO) and Bristol City Council to determine the cause and extent of the outbreak.
The problem was discovered when a customer who fell ill was contacted by Environmental Health. Their sample tested positive for norovirus, confirming the outbreak. In response, Three Brothers Burgers has undertaken a thorough deep cleaning of the premises, following guidance from the EHO. The restaurant reopened to the public on January 3, ensuring that all necessary precautions have been taken to prevent further incidents.
