Norovirus Outbreak Linked to Jersey Mike’s Subs in Exeter

1 week ago source seacoastonline.com business

141 Portsmouth Avenue, Exeter, 03833 New Hampshire, United States

The New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services is investigating a norovirus outbreak linked to the Jersey Mike’s Subs in Exeter. Reports indicate several individuals have fallen ill with gastrointestinal symptoms. The outbreak has been traced to the Portsmouth Avenue location, with multiple cases reported in recent days.

The outbreak was first noted after numerous customers reported symptoms consistent with norovirus, a highly contagious virus known for causing vomiting and diarrhea. The state health department conducted an inspection of the restaurant on December 26, which reportedly resulted in a positive evaluation. Despite the inspection, the investigation continues as officials work to identify the source of the outbreak and any additional cases.

The issue came to light when affected individuals shared their experiences on social media, prompting the health department to take action. The investigation remains ongoing, and health officials have stated there is currently no risk to the public.

Iwaspoisoned has received 33 reports mentioning 105 people sick after eating at the Jersey Mike’s Subs location in Exeter, New Hampshire. Reported symptoms are consistent with those described by health officials.
