The David MacBeth Moir had temporarily closed to customers on Thursday (August 19) as a number of safety precautions were carried out, after a suspected outbreak of norovirus affected customers and staff.Due to a number of customers and staff reporting symptoms of the intense and unpleasant virus, a decision was made to deep clean the entire property to avoid further infection.
Known to be an easily transmissible illness, health officers had inspected the pub after the deep clean was carried out, before allowing it to reopen on Friday (August 20).
In case you are experiencing vomiting, diarrhea, body aches, and chills symptoms, it is important to report it. It can help to detect & resolve outbreaks early and prevent others from being harmed, and it enables better surveillance.
