5606 119th Avenue Southeast, Bellevue, 98006 Washington, United States
Seattle & King County Public Health announced that they are investigating an outbreak of norovirus-like illness with vomiting, diarrhea, body aches, and chills linked to Resonate Brewery & Pizzeria located at 5606 119th Ave SE, Bellevue, WA 98006.
Since October 18, 2021, 12 people from two unrelated meal parties reported becoming ill after consuming food from Resonate Brewery & Pizzeria on October 15, 2021, and 2 cases that are employees of the restaurant reported becoming ill on October 16, 2021. No hospitalizations or death are reported at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
On October 19, the restaurant closed voluntarily to conduct a thorough cleaning and disinfection. All ready-to-eat foods processed before the restaurant was disinfected were discarded. The restaurant was reopened on October 20.
Norovirus is very contagious and is easily transmitted from person to person most through the oral/fecal route. Considering that hand sanitizer does NOT work against this virus, it is important to wash your hands with soap. Use bleach to clean and disinfect surfaces.
In case you are experiencing vomiting, diarrhea, body aches, and chills symptoms, it is important to report it. It can help to detect & resolve outbreaks early and prevent others from being harmed, and it enables better surveillance.

On November 2nd 2021 My Daughter Had French toast sticks about 1:00 in the afternoon. Then Starting at about 5 or 6pm with severe stomach cramps and diarrhea lasting into the next day. | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Cramps
Last night , The only place my spouse and I ate around 9:20-9:35 pm until. Once we got home, we were both gassy but I was fine. He has IBS, so he had his normal routine but did not complain of any issues out of the norm... for him. I however, got hit with the worst stomachache followed by really bad gas. I ended up running to the restroom and had SEVERE DIARRHEA about 10 times or more until around 6am. Tried Pepto and it did nothing. Was nauseous and almost threw up twice. Instead it went out the opposite end fortunately. I took a picture of my feces it was so bad. I contacted my emergency after hours nurse line it was so bad and I have it documented. Called and they claimed no one else has contacted them yet. We’ll see about that. And now, it has hit my husband. Severe diarrhea for him this morning too. Again, ONLY place we ate. For reference we had the bread with the canola oil, because it is not olive, and balsamic vinegar to start. We then had the stuffed mushrooms, followed by their chicken parmigiana, except we both substituted spaghetti for fettuccine Alfredo instead, and finally finished with tiramisu. To drink, I had lemon water, the lemons seemed warm and not fresh so I thought maybe that was why I was feeling symptoms and not my husband because he had a Shirley Temple. I had a few sips of that, and we both had the exact same meal, exact same time, both from there. This is costing us time from work and we are actually thinking of making a case. Thank you for reading please avoid. We thought we would give them another shot after their outbreak years ago. We haven’t eaten there since then, but I see why we have avoided doing so. Something is still wrong. And we are still ill. | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Other, Gas, Nausea, Stomach Pain
I got the Boo Batter Ice Cream a week ago, at about 6pm on October 19th. It tasted like pure food coloring, but I was kind of expecting that tbh so I didn't think anything of it. Last night (October 26th) at about 1pm, I got what... felt like a stomach cramp and it got worse very quickly, so I went home and laid down with a heat pad on my stomach to see if that would help. This morning (October 27th), at about 7am, I pooped and it had a green hue to it. It looked maybe the color of green beans or peas, so I tried to brainstorm with my family anything that color I'd eaten in the past couple days. We came up with nothing. About 20 minutes later, I remembered that I'd had Boo Batter exactly 7 days ago and that was probably why. My family agreed but said it was strange that it had stayed in my gut without any appearance for a week though. I looked up green poop, and the top cause was green, blue, or purple food coloring, so I was relieved it wasn't an infection and carried on with my day. Throughout the day, I've had to poop really bad all day and each time I go to the bathroom it's an even darker shade of green than the time before. Luckily, the texture isn't different than normal, but having to go that frequently and the poop increasing in darkness are both concerning. I looked up side effects of eating Boo Batter Ice Cream, and other people agreed that it had made their poop blue or green, which I think should at least have a warning in-store if it's that common. However, everyone else I saw said it came out within the normal digestion time of the ice cream, sometimes harmlessly, sometimes painfully. This makes me concerned that something else may have been in that batch of ice cream that could have made things fail to digest properly. I have occasional constipation and digestive issues, but I'd been pooping normally this past week aside from today, and seven full days seems like a lot more than an off day for digestion. | Symptoms: Nausea, Constipation, Other, Cramps
My son had dinner with a friend last night around 8. Woke up at 5am with Diarrhea, Nausea, Vomiting. | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Vomiting
Food from there, seems like salmonella or the other one that runs thru you fast We ate lobster bisque and the lobster definitely tasted stronger than I’ve experienced before. Had $135 steak, $90 steak, creamed potatoes, asparagus and potato cakes. I began feeling sick around 10pm and... had diarrhea all night. My husband vomited 4x and had liquid diarrhea following. We’ve both had sensitive stomachs all day today and almost no appetite | Symptoms: Other, Diarrhea, Nausea, Vomiting
I had the meatloaf -- it seemed undercooked and I should not have eaten it. I was sick for more than 24 hours. | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Vomiting

we love the build your own veggie with Canadian bacon. EVERY TIME we eat there we get the s***s the next morning. Typically my boyfriend eats a whole 11” but last night he just had two slices and woke up at 6am for the toilet. We will no longer go there as this is a common occurrence. | Symptoms: Diarrhea
