Fever, Nausea, Vomiting, Dehydration
I had a southwest salad for lunch. By 3 am as I was broken down along I-95, I had to use the guardrail as a toilet seat. Thank god I had a box of tissues in the car. 2 bouts of colon emptying, I was begging for... death once the vomiting started. Was taken 45 minutes to the hotel where we were spending the weekend. I spent from 5am til 6pm in the fetal position. Sleep did not come, I closed my eyes to a Star Trek like red alert, complete with listing and flashing red light. It took almost another 24 hours to regain an appetite and recover from the dehydration. Was it the chicken on the salad or unclean vegetables. It is in the list of the top five times of being sick which includes kidney stones. | Symptoms: Fever, Nausea, Vomiting, Dehydration

Ate the french fries from Chick-fil-A right before my interview yesterday at 6:00PM. They most likely became contaminated from contact with bacteria from undercooked chicken. Immediately after my interview, I was camping at the toilet from vomiting 5-6 times. A few hours later, I began experiencing diarrhea.... This food poisoning made me too weak to climb the stairs.

Went w/1 other person. he paid for m Birthday... We had in common, were the bread, coke & mushrooms on our steaks, & steaks from the case you can choose from... I had bread, salad w/ranch, green beans, steak w/mushrooms & coke. He had bread, chili, loaded... mashed potatoes, a different larger steak w/ mushrooms, & coke. Meal was delicious, way to many mushrooms on each plate, he got a bowl of them but mine were dumped on steak. He thinks they were two different kinds as well. Both barely made it to each home.5/13/22 around 6pm. Reservation 1507.it was weird that a manager came to our table on her own but not to the surrounding tables.-- I called and got manager Niko, he is willing to refund my friends card for the meals, asked if we wanted her to give tio back. I said ", that would not be right". I think the resteraunt should compensate that too from their pocket, her service was great she didnt buy, store, prep nor cook the food.. The manager did NOT even OFFER me a gift card for my expirience of barely making it home to crap and puke at he same time after my bday dinner there..He did not take my number or address, nothing just a thanx for the info and to have my friend call back, because he did call last night but no one got back to him.. and it takes 3 to 4 times of going through the same prompts for it to ring (the prompts start automatically if they dont answer), for them to answer the phone.. | Symptoms: Nausea
My husband and I had dinner at 5:00 and by the next morning we were both sick. The only thing we both had was the jalapeño cheese bite appetizers. | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Vomiting

I went to Peach Valley Cafe on 11/9 around 10:00 am. I purchased shrimp and grits ate it there and I purchased a croissant sandwich to go. When I ate the shrimp and grits I was fine until about 5 pm I noticed I started to feel... faint light headed and nauseous. My stomach started to knot up. Later on that night I got chills and body aches. I vomited up nothing but the shrimp and grits. My body aches lasted a few days with a headache and no strength. Not sure what happened this day but this has never happened before when I’ve eaten at Peach Valley. Never again. This afternoon Chicken Kchik fast food at Nairobi Cinema is a food poisoning factory with no accountability. I order 1 fries and half a chicken. The fries were OK. The chicken was not. They made sure to over cook the chicken but he chicken had a funky... smell, foul taste..rottng meat. Complained but we were dismissed and asked what what's the worst we can do?! I asked if the staff have a health cert, the answer was no and that they were only there to cover absent employees. No replacement chicken was given neither a refund on the money. We were told to stop complaining while other customers were eating.
The BC Centre for Disease Control (BCCDC), in collaboration with regional health authorities, the Public Health Agency of Canada, and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency are investigating a Salmonella outbreak linked to Malichita brand cantaloupes. To date, there have been 8 confirmed cases of a rare strain... of Salmonella in British Columbia since mid-November. These cases are primarily located within the Vancouver Coastal Health, Fraser Health, and Island Health regions.
The investigation revealed a correlation between the cases and recalled cantaloupes in Canada and the United States. Initially detected by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency on November 1, the recall was updated on November 14 to include British Columbia. Consumers who acquired these cantaloupes between October 11 and November 14, 2023, are warned to discard them. The culprit bacterium, Salmonella soahanina or Salmonella sundsvall, was discovered in the recalled cantaloupes through genetic sequencing.
To prevent further spread, the BCCDC advised to dispose of any Malichita cantaloupes or cantaloupes with no identifiable origin. Contaminated foods may not show noticeable spoilage but can still cause illness. Therefore, proper hygiene practices, like washing hands and cooking surfaces, are crucial. Individuals feeling unwell, particularly those with diarrhea or vomiting symptoms, are asked to avoid preparing food.
In case you are experiencing Salmonella symptoms such as diarrhea, abdominal cramps, and fever, it is important to report it. It can help to detect & resolve outbreaks early and prevent others from being harmed, and it enables better surveillance. If symptoms persist, seek medical care.
