On Wednesday 15th November myself and my wife went in at 8.15pm, place was very busy, we ordered our food,i had a double burger 'the empire' 360g of burger meat. They were getting orders mixed up that nite, table beside us were waiting on half there order... See More over a 30min period, they were not happy, staff gave them a free round of beers,because of the mess up, our meal came it was very tasty to be honest. I also had 2 beers over the time. Got home around 12am. Feeling very sick though the nite, was up out of bed at least 8 times with diarrhea, around 8.30am I started vomiting , it also made my nose bleed.i continued vomiting for a few hours, I also had a rash on my face,was like the pressure of the vomiting. Later that day I was feeling very weak and cold in myself. I ate veery little for the next few days, only felt back to myself on Sunday nite. The 19th November, there was a lot of older people eating there that nite, if they had got anything like this it would definitely hospitalised them. Please check this out, I know they were busy,but they should put the safety of customers first,instead of greed. Cut Fruit Express Inc., is recalling Caribou Coffee Fruit Mix CHPG 6.5oz, and Cut Fruit Express Brand of 6.5oz, 15oz, 16oz, 32oz packages of Fruit Mix contains Cantaloupes and Food service packages of 5lb tray, 10lb bag, 25lb Pail, because it has the potential to be contaminated... See More with Salmonella. Caribou Coffee Fruit Mix CHPG 6.5oz was distributed from Caribou Stores at the MSP Airport Caribou locations in the MSP Airport, Minnesota. The product comes in a clear plastic package, the USE BY DATE was 11/4/23. The remainder of the recalled "Fresh Cut Fruit Mix containing Cantaloupes" under Cut Fruit Express and food service packaging was distributed through in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Illinois via retail and food service delivery, the USE BY DATES were 11/4/23, 11/5/23 and 11/6/23. No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this problem with our products.
Salmonella is an organism that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Healthy persons infected with Salmonella often experience fever, diarrhea (which may be bloody), nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain. In rare circumstances, infection with Salmonella can result in the organism getting into the bloodstream and producing more severe illnesses such as arterial infections (i.e., infected aneurysms), endocarditis, and arthritis.
The retail product comes in with Use by Date 11/4/23, 11/5/23, 11/6/23 on the top label and food service product comes with a date label of 11/3/23 on the bag, tray or a label with use by date on the pail.
Cut Fruit Express learned that their supplier is issuing a recall on Cantaloupes for potential contamination of Salmonella. Cut Fruit Express is initiating a recall on the affected product that contains the recalled Cantaloupe. The affected products were shipped between October 24th through October 26th, 2023.
- Consumers, restaurants, retailers, and wholesalers should not eat, sell, or serve recalled cantaloupe or recalled products containing cantaloupe.
- Some consumers freeze cantaloupe for later use. Consumers should check their freezers and throw away recalled fresh or cut cantaloupe that was frozen for later use.
- If you cannot tell if your cantaloupe is part of the recall, do not eat or use it.
Consumers who have purchased these products are urged to return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.
