Today had a burger from the sports bar, within hours violent stomach cramps vomiting dizzy, she doesn't drink it's the only place we have eaten it's the only place where sher eat and I didn't, I'm waiting to see the tui rep now

2nd visit to this hotel, fortunately the 1st visit no problems. However, returned on 6/3/24 only to be struck down the following Monday 11th with violent diarrhoea, vomiting, horrendous headache & body cramps. 1st myself then my fellow traveller. Initial signs of loose bowels started 2days before
vacating the resort, I guess from other findings we were lucky to make it home before the severe onset. Still suffering with symptoms.. Hotel Rui Santa maria. Hotel Rui Santa maria

Nausea starting in the morning then repeated vomiting (5 times) then around 16:00 severe diarrhea, visit the nurse then appointment with the doctor, hospitalization: blood test and under infusion for rehydration.

We flew to Cape Verde We’d 1.11.23 by Sunday both myself and partner had severe diarrhoea. We are still not completely recovered, but fortunately had taken 3 packs of Imodium which we used up. We couldn’t eat much and couldn’t move far from conveniences during our visit..
We stayed at Riu Palace only ate there and both started after 4 days and still not 100%

I amongst many holiday makers we’ve spoken too are in the middle of a severe gastric issue. This place seriously needs looking into, we wish we had known how bad it’s reputation is we wouldn’t have come for sure

Both my husband and myself became seriously ill with sickness (my husband), and diarrhoea (myself) within an hour of eating in a restaurant in the hotel. I have never experienced anything quite like it, and it has left us both really debilitated. As pensioners, we did not
expect o go away on a special holiday and become so poorly. We also heard of many other similar instances while we were staying at the hotel in the last two weeks, 6th September- 20th September 2023.
