I get to my destination and as soon as I got checked in my room I felt I needed to release my bowels but instead I projected acidic sick that continued on for about 15 mins on and off. While being sick I had hot flushes and was sweating. I was emptying my bowels while being sick and it was out of my control. I tried to lay down I thought I was over hungry or something. Then it hit me that I only had this. That night I sweated like a pig and woke up soaking wet. being sick had stopped but the diarrhea is still happening and it's 27/05/23. I'm scared to go anywhere to far and it has ruined my holiday. I also meet a and spoke to few people who flew from Birmingham airport and had said they had the same thing happen to them. I got into conversation and one person had said the had food from the same restaurant and felt how I did after. But didn't realise where the illness had came from. The Snohomish County Health Department has identified a case of hepatitis A that occurred in a food worker who worked at two Taco Bell locations: 2727 Broadway in Everett and 303 91st Ave NE in Lake Stevens. They are warning about possible exposure to hepatitis A to... See More anyone who ate food from the Everett location on May 22 or 23 or from the Lake Stevens location on May 23.
The confirmed case appears to have been infected during international travel. The Snohomish County Health Department is working with the business to identify other workers who were potentially exposed and connect them with prevention information as well as resources for vaccination and post-exposure prophylaxis, as needed.
The Health Department advises anyone who ate food from the Everett location on May 22 or 23 or from the Lake Stevens location on May 23, to check if they are vaccinated against or immune to hepatitis A. People who are vaccinated or immune do not need to take any further action as they would be considered protected against this exposure. Individuals who are not vaccinated, immune, or are unsure of their status should contact their healthcare provider or contact the Snohomish County Health Department for guidance and potential post-exposure prophylaxis to prevent illness. Post-exposure prophylaxis involves receiving the hep A vaccine or immune globulin (IG), which can provide immediate and lasting protection when given within two weeks of exposure to the hepatitis A virus.
If you are experiencing Hepatitis A symptoms like fever, jaundice, nausea, clay-colored stool, dark urine, malaise, abdominal discomfort, or vomiting, it is important to report it. It can help to detect and resolve outbreaks early and prevent others from being harmed, and it enables better surveillance.

People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to anchovy run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products. The Diavolo pasta... See More sauce was sold at Wegman’s grocery stores in Delaware, District of Columbia, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Virginia between April 3, 2023 and May 16, 2023. No illnesses have been reported to date.
The product can be identified as a mason jar with red pasta sauce, called Diavolo. The only expiration date affected is March 31, 2025, with the code F0589: UPC 077890222409 Jar Code. BEST BY 03/31/25 F0589.
The recall was initiated after it was discovered via consumer complaint that the Wegman’s Italian Classics Diavolo Pasta Sauce containing anchovies was distributed in packaging that did not reveal the presence of anchovies. Subsequent investigation indicates the problem was caused by a temporary breakdown in LiDestri Foods’ packaging processes. Consumers who have purchased Wegmans Italian Classics Diavolo pasta sauce with a March 31, 2025 expiration date and code F0589 are urged to return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.
