“Ordered pepperoni pizza. It tasted weird and wasn't their normal pizza. My 7 year old and I both got sick about an hour later with nausea, cramping and diarrhea. Seeing my daughter so sick and upset is heartbreaking and the food we recieved was unacceptable. You'd think during a pandemic they would... take food safety more seriously. We were long time customers, but will never go there again for anything. So disappointed and disgusted. ”

“I had a large frozen chai at 11am. I thought it tasted weird so I didn't finish it but didn't think more of it. Started feeling really sick at 5h30pm that evening. Symptoms lasted 48 hours., Symptoms started after about 6.5 hours and they got better after about 48 hours with self-care at home. The f... rozen chai is all I ordered. I was the only member of my family who was ill. They did not have anything from this place. ”

“I ordered a feta avocado toast here on Nov 3rd 2018 at 11 am and after 30 minutes started to feel very sick to my stomach. I was driving back to the city from Alfred that day and had to pullover twice throughout the day to projectile vomit once off the side of the road and another in a rest stop bat... hroom. This was the only thing I ate today because I felt too sick to eat 30 mins after eating the feta avocado toast. I called tonight to ask for a refund of the toast and they told me I would have to call back Monday and tried to tell me it was an allergy. I have never had an allergy to feta or goats milk. ”

“The Bates Health Services (BHS) is investigating multiple reports of illness across campus. Up to Monday 12th, 14 students reported experiencing symptoms of food poisoning. BHS started receiving reports on April 9th. However, an informal poll conducted by The Student, a college newspaper, indicates... that the number of people impacted may be as high as 100.
BHS confirmed that the GI symptoms could be attributed to the presence of Salmonella bacteria. The Dining, Conferences, and Campus Events (DCCE) is working to determine the exact cause of the illnesses and they have sent samples of a pad thai served on Thursday to a lab for testing. Several of the ill people reported eating the popular vegan pad thai served at lunch.
BHS asked students who are experiencing symptoms consistent with a Salmonella infection to reach out at (207) 386-6199. If it is an emergency, call (207) 386-6111 to be connected to Bates EMS and Campus Safety.
If you attend Bates College and recently have developed nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal cramps, or other food poisoning symptoms, report it now.

“It may be the grapes on an empty stomach, hadnt ate anything all day, just googled to research about it I already explained in the beginning, i had a couple of grapes and it got me queasy, and fainted, not fun. It happened About 30 minutes ago, i had about 5 green and red mixed grapes, the strangest... thing just happened i felt queasy nauseous, and light headed, i went to get up from my chair and i fainted and fell on the kitchen floor, i managed to get up to my bed layed down for a minute then went to the bathroom and had diarrhea.
The green grapes were the ones i got sick from, the red grapes i purchased about a few days before the green ones, didnt had any side effects from the red, i put together a cheese and grape board to eat as a late snack, i wanted to make sure that they are not poisoned or i give the benefit of the doubt that green grapes on an empty stomach depends on how many, can have some very unpleasant effects. ”
