Nausea, Diarrhea, Vomiting

I ate dinner there yesterday at 4 PM. Came down with nausea and diarrhea about 8 hours later. I observed lack of hand washing by volunteers prior to putting on plastic gloves. They were indirect contact with plates with food. I mentioned to one of the the... See More volunteers that state law required handwashing prior to putting on gloves, She, as she put her gloves on with her unwashed hands, informed me there was a bathroom nearby if I wished to wash my hands. State law also requires notice of that regulation be posted prominently. No notices were visible. Management obviously had not provided adequate instructions for volunteers to prevent possible food poisoning by potential contact with fecal bacteria from servers' hands, | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Vomiting See Less

Contaminated condiments. I ordered fried onion rings which were served with packets of Heinz ketchup. The exterior of the packet was sticky. Further examination incuding a taste test proved it was maple flavored syrup. Apparently the packets had been on a previous diner's meal plate. They obviously... See More had been reused without even bothering to rinse them off before serving them to me. The failure to cleanse the packets allowed bacteria to grow. While reusing unopened packets is common in lower quality restauurants, I expected they would care enough about their reputation, and their custmers well being not to engage in risky practices. A friend of mine and I ate lunch there, 4/24/21, around 1 PM. Both our French fry orders were soggy, tasteless, and definitely not crisp. My calamari, sautéed in butter, had an off taste to it. The butter/cooking oil used to sauté it was apparently rancid. The... See More calamari had not been rinsed under cold, running water prior to being cooked. There was a faint taste and smell of spoiled seafood. My friend's salmon had suffered a similar fate. I became ill about 12 hours later: fever, nausea, vomiting. Slightly better now after a very miserable morning and afternoon. My friend did not report any ill effects. My meal was apparently cross contaminated with fecal bacteria, either by raw poultry in the kitchen prep areas and/or by staff failing to properly cleanse their hands. The restrooms were blocked, at that time, by numerous propane tanks that were in the hallway. Hopefully staff were able to cleanse their hands else where. Good place to avoid - bad food and bad sanitation. | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Vomiting, Fever See Less
