Rock House Creamery, based out of Newborn, GA, has voluntarily recalled its whole milk and buttermilk products due to incomplete pasteurization records. The affected products were distributed to Madison, Mansfield, Athens, Atlanta, and Milledgeville retailers. There have been no illnesses reported to date.

- Rock House Creamery whole milk with best buy dates of 9/10/2023, 9/17/2023, 9/20/2023, 9/24/2023, and 10/01/2023.
- Rock House Creamery buttermilk with a best buy date of 10/02/2023.

The problem was discovered during a routine review by the Georgia Department of Agriculture on 13th September 2023. The department found incomplete pasteurization records for certain batches, leading to the recall decision by Rock House Creamery. The creamery has made corrective measures to address the issue.

Drinking raw milk that has not undergone pasteurization to kill disease-causing germs can lead to serious illness. All stores have been notified, and products have been removed from retail shelves to protect public health. The Georgia Department of Agriculture strongly urged Consumers to dispose of any product remaining in their refrigerators.

In case you experience vomiting, diarrhea, and nausea, report it now. It can help to detect & resolve outbreaks early and prevent others from being harmed, and it enables better surveillance. If symptoms persist, seek medical care.

E. coli O45 causes a diarrheal illness often with bloody stools. Although most healthy adults can recover completely within a week, some people develop a form of kidney failure called Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome (HUS). HUS is most likely to occur in young children and the elderly; the condition can lead to serious kidney damage and even death.

Consumers who specifically purchased Costco item 20522, UPC 040232244124, 32-oz. diced Organic Butternut Squash between September 7, 2023, and September 15, 2023, with a use by date of 09/19/2023 date code are urged to return this item to your local Costco. If you have any product with this date code remaining, do not consume.

The potential for contamination was noted after routine testing by the company detected the presence of E. coli O45.

The only other food I had after that was some herrs salt and vinegar chips and Gatorade zero. I went to go to bed around 10:30-11PM and when I got in bed I noticed my skins particularly my arms and legs were super sensitive to even the sheets rubbing up against me, then I noticed I started getting extremely cold and shivering. At about 1 I thought it was starting to calm down when all of a sudden I got a giant knot in my stomach and had to run to the bathroom while now profusely pouring sweat.
