Regulatory Report

1099 East Eldorado Street, Decatur, 62521 Illinois, United States

Closure Date: 07/17/2019
Details: Improperly stored raw bacon, "heavy" fruit fly and house fly activity and a malfunctioning walk-in refrigerator were among reasons the Macon County Health Department closed Burger King.
The health inspection report said a can of pesticide was stored on the preparation table during the inspection. Also, there was heavy fruit fly and horse fly activity in the preparation, production and storage areas of the facility, according to the health inspection report. Excessive debris was observed on the floor behind and under equipment on the center production line and frying station.
The restaurant was open Friday afternoon, but repeated phone calls were met with a busy signal.
