“The staff were very nice and communicated well. We waited for 20 min for our food and they messed up all 5 orders ahead of us. The dining area was gross with dead flies around all of the windows. I had the 3pc spicy chicken with red beans and rice... at 530pm. at 730pm I began feeling very ill. Diarrhea, vomiting, and fever for 36 hours after. 1 piece of the chicken was not spicy and wasnt very warm. My other family members did not get sick. ”
“I had the Chicken DeBurgo on Christmas eve and within 3 hours I starting feeling very sick. My husband had steak and didn't have any issues and we both had the salad so guessing it had to be my chicken. I was miserable and threw up all night along with... diarrhea & fever. It ruined my Christmas and I missed it altogether. Three days later and my stomach is still not back to normal and still feel feverish off and on. ”

I have not eaten a thing since I can't or have a appetite, I have not gone to a pcp yet but its bizarre after eating that this happens I was fine up until that. ”
“I went there by myself. It was the only thing I ate all day. I threw up 30 minutes after I had the burger that afternoon. I continuously threw up through out the night and in the morning the next day. Through out the night I had diarrhea and had... major headaches. My body felt weak, and I couldn’t even drink water because I would throw it up. ”
“Valentine’s Day 2020. I ate the daddy burger which was different to the food my husband and family members ate. I’m the only one ill. We ate around 6pm and by 8am I was feeling sick and the diarrhoea began. The stomach cramps started midway through the day and the... diarrhoea has worsened! I haven’t eaten anything else that can cause this as I only had toast before the meal all day and again this morning till the diarrhoea began! ”
“Ate on 15/2/2020, 1900 hrs. Four pax. Dishes included oysters, lobster and scallops. Only oysters were shared among the family. Next day, vomiting, diarrhoea, nausea and high fever for all four. Other family members who did not go to restaurant had no symptoms. Previously ate here in 2019 and had... food poisoning. Was not sure it was specifically this outlet that time, but after this experience am highly certain. ”

“There is some confusion surrounding the current Coronavirus (called 2019-NocV) outbreak that began in December 2019 and whether you can get it through food. Here is some information:
What is Coronavirus?
Coronaviruses are a large family of viruses found in both animals and humans. Past outbreaks include Middle East Respiratory... Syndrome (MERS) and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS). The current novel Coronavirus (a new strain that has not been previously identified in humans) is thought to originate in live food markets in Wuhan, China through animals and human contact.
How is it transmitted?
Coronaviruses such as the current 2019-NocV are transmitted through the respiratory system, not the gut, so there is a low risk of infection through the consumption of contaminated food. Restaurants can be a site of transmission of coronavirus because of the large numbers of people congregating in close quarters and then coughing/sneezing could spread the disease just like in other places (transportation, schools, etc). But the food itself isn’t a likely vehicle.
Signs of infection?
Common signs of infection include respiratory symptoms, fever, cough, shortness of breath and breathing difficulties. In more severe cases and those with weakened immune systems, an infection can cause pneumonia, severe acute respiratory syndrome, kidney failure, and even death.
Recommendations from the World Health Organization (WHO):
Standard recommendations to prevent infection spread include regular hand washing, covering mouth+nose when coughing/sneezing, and avoiding close contact with anyone showing symptoms of respiratory illness such as coughing and sneezing.

“Nausea vomiting diarrhea fever. 5 people. We aren’t sure whether it is bacterial or viral. Five people got sick at different time intervals. Three of us ate hummus/cucumber sandwiches on Friday 2/7. Then, four of us ate sub sandwiches on 2/8.
The first person to show symptoms was Sunday afternoon,... the last person started having symptoms yesterday morning.
Symptoms included violent vomiting and diarrhea, stomach cramping, and fever.
We have a 12 week old baby at home who is breastfed, and she is well so far.
I’m trying to figure out the source because I am worried my baby will get sick. ”
