Recall notice

Amy's Kitchen Enchilada Verde Whole Meal recalled due to containing cheese

2 years ago source corporate.publix.com

Atlanta, Georgia, United States

Amy's Kitchen has voluntarily recalled its Enchilada Verde Whole Meal, sold at Publix and Publix GreenWise Market, due to potential listeria contamination. The issue was discovered following a recall notice from cheese supplier Rizo-Lopez Foods, Inc., who alerted Amy's Kitchen to the possible presence of Listeria in the cheese used in the Enchilada Verde Whole Meal. No illnesses related to the recalled products have been reported, and the recall is being conducted out of an abundance of caution. The FDA has been notified of the voluntary recall.

The recalled product is Amy's Kitchen Enchilada Verde Whole Meal, with GTIN 4227200085 and best before dates of 4/24, 8/24, and 10/24. The recall affects three batches of the meal, which contains cheese potentially contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.

If you purchased the affected products, we recommend returning them to the store where they were purchased.

Listeria monocytogenes is a type of bacterium that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Healthy individuals may suffer short-term symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea. Listeria infection can cause miscarriage and stillbirths among pregnant women.
